The new job is great--the people are nice, the food is good, the hours are manageable. I am also very close to securing a job as administrative assistant of student affairs. Today I watched 7 episodes of the Gilmore Girls which is ridiculous, I know, but is better than going out and spending money I don't have. I snuck out my window for a half hour to sunbathe which is the only time I left my room since this morning. Ah summer. I forget why I used to think that having nothing to do was so great.

I had a dream last night that me and 2 other guys were in this really important building on the umteenth floor. We exited an elevator only to realize that people in the building were shooting at us. There apparantly was some big heist hostage event going on. They shot the 2 guys right a way, but I blocked the bullets with my brief case. It turned into a really bad action flick where I ran through the building dodging bullets. In the end it was my job to rescue the hostages and I woke up mid-brainstorm. That's all. Things are quiet around here.

ABCs and 123s

Approaching graduation I find that I am feeling totally unprepared for what lies beyond it.
But regardless I am very excited that I have finished school. I did end up getting the volvo...It is a 1996 wagon with leather seats, sun roof, cd and tape player, and automatic everything. Plus there are 4 cup holders! woo. I decided that I am going to try to do summer conferences out here which would give me free rent for the summer. I will be working as a hotel deskperson (checking people in, bringing toilet paper and towels, and cleaning up their rooms). Not that classy, but very practical. I find out for sure this week if I got the job, but I think I did. After that, I think I am going to stick around Tahoe for a while--try out my luck with this relationship I am having. Kevin is really great. I think I am going to move in with him after my free living expires. Still not sure what I am going to do in terms of a career, but the reality of how worthless my degree is going to be for me is truly sinking in. But, things are really good. Me Kevin and Rory are playing music at a Peets Coffee benefit on Thursday. We are covering Jack Johnson's "Do you Remember" and performing a song we wrote: "Miss Red Striped Slacks". One of my roommates is moving out with his girlfriend, and the property managers are pushing for us to take their offer of getting out of our lease while they tear up and repair our bathroom. So, the decision to move out has ensued. Can't say I am particularly thrilled, but not much has been particularly thrilling lately. Take me not sleeping in 2 days, for example. We had salad, casserole, cheesey bread, weed, and ice-cream sandwiches. I even found a fucking airplane-shaped pinata for the event. It isn't every day that you find yourself clawing at the eyes of fully grown humans in order to acquire Reeses peanut-butter cups sitting on the ground of a filthy driveway. Everyone escaped relatively uninjured, but my roommate almost batted the neighbor's giant German Shephard off of our roof where he had been innocently observing our insane ritual. But I'm not gonna lie; it was one of the best dinner parties I have ever been to.

My band has finally come to agreement on our name. I found this rad scarf at a thrift store last year that said "Lick Comets" on it. I thought it was awesome, because it is, and now that is our band name.

My final thought today regards Halloween. I usually get ambitious come Autumn time in planning a unique, albeit budget costume. Past years have included: "Mary" (as in Mary had a little lamb--mouth dripping with blood, torn up lamb, and poofy dress), "Edward Scissorhands", "Go-Go Yobari goes gambling in Vegas", and now (drum roll...)

Tim Burtons Corpse Bride ...

That's the plan for now. We will see.

Do you have any good ideas??

I am planning Jamie's bachelorette party. The class is renowned for being terribly unbearable, and the bulk of this opinion is attributed to the weasely, power-hungry professor, Dr. Peter Hackburt. But alas! Time, the dirty whore, has caught up to me, and I now find all of the horrors I dreamt of have been realized. HE STOPPED CLASS 3 TIMES TO REPRIMAND PEOPLE FOR YAWNING! It is, after all, contagious, so when you yawn, you are bothering others by consequently causing them to yawn.

This weekend I am hitching a ride to San Jose with this random guy I have never met. I didn’t think anything of it, but several people have been like “Uh…Good idea. Have fun bleeding to death in a ditch.” I am pretty sure it will be fine, but just in case, if this is the last blog entry you ever read on this site, please call the police and tell them that Thomas from SNC murdered me. The weekend should be pretty fun. I get to visit Jamie and Andrew, and probably go around and do cheesey wedding errands. (Girlish sigh). I want to have a wedding. Not a marriage, mind you, a wedding. Anybody want to marry me? I forgot, Ed is too gay to marry me. Alan? Nudge, wink. I am a great cook, a decent seamstress, and a phenomenal lover!! If you are fast to respond we might be able to go Brady Bunch style and do a double wedding.

A Sad Day...not really

Okay, this posting concerns both of my readers, so listen up. I am curious as to what makes people choose the titles they do for their blogs or otherwise written works. For example, because I was slightly too irritated to think of something deep or funny or creative for my blog, I aptly named it "In between class", because frankly, that is the time I do most of my writing.

The Grow brothers on the other hand, in a slightly more depressing fashion entitled their sites: "The World has Turned and Left me Here" and "Lost to the World". Of course everyone at some point feels like they are estranged. Still, a well thought out title should reflect the general theme of the text, and I am curious to know whether you two really feel this way all the time which is quite sad or whether I should just suck it up and change my own title to: "Looking too much into things" which is also quite sad.

Of Marriageable Age!!

I vollenteered at a fundraising event/banquet yesterday with the trustees of my college. Tickets ranged from 500-650 dollars, and beyond that attendants could enjoy a silent auction, chariot races, and yacht races. The event raised over 300,000 dollars for my school, and I was further convinced that my current number one trait in a potential mate, is the ever so shallow: wealth factor. Fucking ASS I wish I could by a chocolate waterfall for the backyard of my 12 million dollar lakeside Tahoe property. Fucking rich motherfuckers. I have felt half-yuppie and half-squatter living in my new house. This is why: I have been either out on my roommate's boat listening to Frank Sinatra and drinking wine or disgustedly walking barefoot over cached bowls of weed that my roommates emptied on the already very dirty wood floors of our living room. Quite the contrast really. This morning I opened my door to see Heidi's yellow lab chomping on Kaitlyn's used tampon right outside my room. Grossest shit ever. On the other hand I did spend yesterday evening consuming complimentary cheese, crackers, cocktails and chocolate cake on the Hyatt regency VIP floor. Last night Kaitlyn's friend crashed his car into one of my roomate's boats (And by that I mean one of my roommates who owns multiple boats). There is a pair of thong underwear sitting on our back porch in a pile of cigarette butts. Weird fucking week.

Alan, did I tell you I started a band? There are 4 of us: drums, guitar, piano, and bass guitar. Going well so far.

I don't know how to set up comments, but I will do my best.
bxiddo is sort of my short way of writing Beatrix Kiddo, like in Kill Bill. For lack of a creative title, I am using this.

The Beginning of the End

I started my first week of my senior year, meaning this year I graduate...Scary. I don't know what I am going to do after college. Maybe I should have gone into t.v. repair or something technical. It might have decreased the odds of me starving to death next May.

I am really excited to see my sister get married this Fall. She seems so happy, and that makes me really happy. But it lasts only a moment before I feel a bit nervous. I feel a bit insecure about my own future both career-wise and romantically. I keep dreaming of a small apartment containing me and several pets...

So, anyway, I am trying to think of a research project that I can work on this semester for my psych class...

The criteria is as follows...

I have to conduct some sort of experiment, survey, etc. based on a thesis that I create.
Studies in the past have included such things as "Is there a relation between people who have symptoms of ADHD and interest in extreme sports?" or "Women who kill their children" or the ever-popular "Sexism in car buying"...Yeah, really lame shit.

So, I want to do something really interesting. Do you, Alan, my only reader, have any suggestions? I was thinking about doing something about regional value differences (Mid west and the West mostly since that's what I am familiar with)...I dunno though. I couldn't think of a great idea really.
